I saw it happen, and that was just one average event on one average night in the life of Elin Hilderbrand.

But this is what working in a bookstore has taught me, that the snobbishness I have felt toward books was holding me back in so many ways. Not just in what I could sell. But in what I could enjoy.

We were in the back working on some project. I feel like we were on our hands and knees on the floor with stacks of books. What could we have been doing? 2020-2021 was a weird time.

No offense to this guy, but any time you walk into the post office and don’t see A. behind the desk, it’s a disappointment.

The doorknob had been hinky for some time.
